Anyone who registers a domain name agrees to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, which allows any domain name user to file disputes under this policy. Your second option is to dispute their use of your company name through the court system in the country in which the registrar resides. This is a more costly option, but still may be worthwhile. The third, most simple option is to pay the owner for the domain name you want, especially if the price requested is lower than the cost of either of the first two options.

Similar to the above problem, the .com you want may already be in use by a company that sells a similar product to yours. In this case, you can 1) follow one of the dispute steps outlined above, 2) choose a different domain name, or 3) register the same domain name with a different extension. The solution you choose to any problem should be based on how quickly you need to solve the problem, how much potential business can be lost, and how much you are willing to pay for the domain name you want.

With any domain name, carefully consider which name you choose. While your company name may be the obvious choice, it may not be the most logical choice. For example, if your company is We Make Great Trucks, greattrucks.com is easier to remember and say than wemakegreattrucks.com. We suggest you register any name that explains your product(s) or is a category that your product falls under, as well as your company name. This will reduce confusion on the part of your customers, and will help you avoid at least some of the unfavorable scenarios described above.

We can help you choose a domain name, and we recognize that a good domain name can make a great difference to your Internet success. As with any Internet service, we recommend consulting a professional when choosing a domain name.
Tech Tips: Spam–Is It Here to Stay?

One of the more frustrating parts of checking your email is opening your Inbox to see 20 Spam messages for every 3 important messages. Spam is any email that tries to sell you an unsolicited service (such as illegal software or prescription drugs), or emails with attachments that contain viruses. Most email servers now include filters to remove most Spam from your Inbox, making your email experience much less time consuming.

If you find you are getting Spam email in your Inbox, you have up to three options to remove it. If you only receive an occasional Spam email, you can just delete the email and continue checking your email as usual. If iias is your email provider, your second option is to use the Spam Indexing filter supplied. Third, you can create black & white list filters.
