Online Spending Q1 2006

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced May 19, 2006 that the total of non-travel online spending for the first quarter of 2006 was $24.5 billion. This is an increase of 25.6% over first quarter 2005, when online spending totalled $19.5 billion. comScore Networks believes that if eCommerce spending continues to increase, and achieves an increase rate over 20% for the balance of 2006, US spending over a calendar year will pass the $100 billion mark for the first time.
