Making Cents of Your Investment

Customer Service
How easy is it for you to talk to someone at your design company? Is the phone answered by a person, or by a machine? If you leave a message, how timely is the response? Do you feel you are a valued customer? If it is hard to get a hold of someone at your design company, it will be hard to give them feedback regarding your website, or to get help if anything goes wrong. A company that takes customer relationships seriously and cares about you as a person will respond quickly and provide good advice, as well as being available as often as possible.

Feedback Process
How much say will you have in the design of your website? Will you be given a chance to view your website when the layout is complete and in HTML form, but before content is inserted? You should be able to view your site to make sure if fits with your company and corporate image before time is spent adding content. If the design doesn’t fit the profile of your company, time should not be wasted on entering content when it will be entered again after a new, more appropriate design is complete.

Website Function
What do you want your website to do? Do you want to sell product, or is it just a promotional website aimed at attracting new clients? A website should be built to do what you want it to, and should accomplish your goals.

Bobcat Country

Bobcat Country is the Fraser Valley's one-stop shop for all things Bobcat and Vermeer. Providing sales of new & used equipment, and equipment and accessory rentals, you can get that job done with a visit to Bobcat Country.

Cost
The most important consideration for a website is cost. Prices can range from $1,500 to $100,000 or more. A $1,500 website is more likely to be made from an existing template, or to be a very simple design that requires only a small time investment. A $50,000 is likely to include a data driven database to list products or inventory, as well as a great custom designed interface. Middle range websites are the most common, and include a custom designed interface that reflects your company and corporate image well.

As with many endeavours, an investment will multiply if the investment is smart and well managed. In our experience, the best investment is a website that is custom designed to reflect your company and accomplish your goals, incorporates your feedback and is supported with great customer service. A website can increase your business substantially if it is the right website for you.
